For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Weigert took part in the the MoPo relay race in Hamburg's Stadtpark. Together with around 2000 other teams, Christine Lach, Andreas Erikson, Sascha Wehlt, Nico Sendur and Jörg Lambert took on the running challenge.
The relay race in Hamburg's Stadtpark is a special event in which five people per team run the 5 km course one after the other. The focus The focus is not on individual performance, but on the team's overall time. And as team-building measure, each finisher team receives a well-filled picnic basket that picnic basket to replenish their energy reserves and take the runners to Hamburg's largest open-air picnic.
In addition to the sporting challenge, the focus is on a good cause: the PSD Bank Nord will donate 10 euros per participating team to the Stadtparkverein. These donations will go towards sustainable projects, such as the educational tree trail, which introduces children and adults to the diversity of tree species in the city park. In past years, over 200,000 euros have been collected in this way. This year, Dr. Weigert's relay runners are once again helping to ensure that new trees can be planted in the city park.
