Dr. Weigert is continuing its environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 in 2024 and has confirmed this with an extensive recertification audit. Dr. Weigert thus maintains the environmental management certificate.
Like DIN EN ISO 9001 for quality management systems, the environmental management standard follows the high-level structure, so that both systems are practiced by Dr. Weigert as an integrated management system. Nevertheless, the entire scope was audited in the environmental audit.
The international standard ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an environmental management system with which an organization can demonstrate and improve its environmental performance, the implementation of environmental objectives and compliance with environmentally relevant obligations. The standard follows the continuous improvement process, the PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act).
Dr. Weigert has been environmentally certified since 1997, and this year successfully completed ISO 14001 certification for the 10th time in a row. The more extensive re-certification is carried out every three years, with surveillance audits in the two years in between.
